Grace

I’ve seen the grace that comes through pain

Though I can’t really explain it to you now

It can only be seen in the darkest if times

It is only understood through trouble and trial

It’s not that I would wish pain on anyone

It has not been an easy cross to bear

But if only you could see the grace of God

Through the darkest of times in your life

I don’t know why I have suffered like I have

I don’t know if I ever will understand

I don’t really question all that has taken place

But what I know is that there is grace in our pain

It’s not that any of us will ever avoid suffering and pain

It’s not that at some point we will hurt like never before

What really matters is not how to avoid suffering

It’s who we serve when we get to this far

I’ve seen amazing grace in my suffering

It’s the most beautiful thing I seen

The hope that’s found here far out ways the pain

The love God extends far beyond the suffering here
