I want to break out this shell that I’m in,
Get out if this cage and find a new life.
I’m tired of the way things have been,
I thought we would fight for so much more.
Complacency is wearing me out,
I want to have something worth fighting for.
I thought there was more to this,
But no one else seems excited anymore.
I’ve read of a faith
worth fighting for
It’s a battle I want
to see
I’ve heard of a faith
worth dying for
It’s a place where I
want to be
The dance has become a masquerade;
I don’t like the mask I’ve worn.
A poor reflection of who I am;
I don’t think this is what He was dying for.
Have we forgotten who we are,
That we should become what we hate?
Don’t we remember where we’ve been,
Or are we irrelevant and nothing more?
I’ve read of a faith
worth fighting for
It’s a battle I want
to see
I’ve heard of a faith
worth dying for
It’s a place where I
want to be
